Skip this if
There is no trip in the next 12 months. The dates are “maybe.” The partner site is not showing the award. The Southwest departure is inside about 72 hours and the points are still in Bilt. You need a “T-day” rumor to justify the transfer. There is no such number in this post.
How it works

Core 1:1 set for this house: United MileagePlus, Atmos Rewards, Southwest Rapid Rewards, World of Hyatt, Aeroplan, Flying Blue, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club (and Virgin Red). Accor is 3:2. I Prefer is 1:2. Those two are not the core set.
Minimums and increments are messy. Bilt’s article: Blue 2,000; Silver/Gold/Platinum 1,000; 1,000-point increments on manual transfers. United’s auto-transfer page talks in 50-point increments. Do not flatten those into one rule. Read both screens before you click.
Bilt’s own tip matches the process: confirm availability, consider a hold, then transfer.
Southwest. Any available seat. No blackouts. Points do not expire. The points cost moves with the fare until you confirm. The schedule is extended in chunks; read southwest.com, not a newsroom clip. Allow 72 hours for Bilt to land. Do not cut this close.
United. If a cash seat exists on United or United Express, a last-seat award can exist. Pricing is dynamic. Quotes are not a chart. There is no official 330 or 337 on the pages we pulled. Allow 48 hours.
Hyatt. Still a published chart, with fixed thresholds. Categories now have five levels inside them (Lowest through Top). Limited inventory at the top of the house. Do not paste a blog’s point grid. Search the property, then transfer. Allow 48 hours.
Atmos. Charts still exist. Alaska has said the Atmos launch did not change award pricing. Starts from 4,500 one-way. Confirm the live chart in the account. Allow 48 hours.
Aeroplan. Air Canada metal: any cash seat, no blackouts, and the price can exceed the chart when demand is high. United as a select partner uses a distance-band chart plus a per-ticket fee in Canadian dollars (CAD 39 on the August 2026 PDF we saw; confirm). Official booking window can run as late as two hours before departure. No official max days-out. Ticket immediately. Allow 48 hours.
Flying Blue. Monthly Promo Rewards exist. We did not retrieve the official August grid tonight. Do not lock a mile number or a book-by date without a fresh flyingblue.com check. Taxes are cash. Allow 48 hours.
Virgin Atlantic. Any saleable Virgin seat, demand pricing, Saver from 6,000 one-way, Reward Seat Checker in the account. Allow 48 hours. A transfer bonus, if one appears, is a different post.
Order of search for a short weekend: Southwest first. United if a United cash seat exists. Hyatt for the hotel nights. Atmos, Aeroplan, Flying Blue, Virgin only after you have a live quote. For a longer trip, start with the airline you can actually fly, then the hotel.
What to do this month
Name the dates. Open the program signed in. Search. Hold if they offer it. Transfer only what that ticket needs. Ticket immediately. If any of those five fail, do not transfer.
What not to do
Do not transfer first and hunt second. Do not move a round number “for later.” Do not use a blog’s T-day. Do not dump Hyatt into Southwest. Do not cut a Southwest transfer inside 72 hours. Do not apply for a card because a partner looks interesting. The trip is the reason.
